The Maze was an obstacle course where two robots would navigate on opposite sides that met at the waterfall where the winner would pass through to the top. Robots were supposed to go up the ramp, then push the box aside. Next, they pass through spiked panels and hopefully don't get hit when they swing back around before meeting wooden speedbumps and a gate dubbed "The Guillotine" that slowly raised and lowered continuously on a clutch mechanism. Beyond that was the ramp where the waterfall and victory awaited. Of all the challenges, the speedbumps proved to be the most hazardous with most low ground clearance robots getting stuck or being unable to climb them at all.
